The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the associate, or full professor level with expertise in any of its focus areas of regenerative medicine, biomedical diagnostics/theranostics, telemedicine/health, precision intervention or augmentation. The incoming candidates should demonstrate a translational approach to research and a commitment to education that is synergistically aligned with the department and the A&M system. Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Mid-career candidates must have a proven ability to sustain an extramurally-funded and translationally-focused research program. In addition, senior candidates should possess proven leadership skills, and an established reputation as a scholar. Senior-level applicants will be eligible to apply for an endowed professorship during the hiring process. The successful applicants will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Persons who have completed post-doctoral training and possess a strong clinical/translational orientation to their scholarship are encouraged to apply.
