This position is assigned specific duties and responsibilities pertaining to research activities by Principle Investigator or project leader. The person in this position design and build chemical reactors for hydrocarbon cracking. They will plan, organize, and conduct experiments. They will perform analytical characterizations and maintain equipment for: simulated distillation gas chromatograph, densitometer, viscometer, and rheometer. They will develop and implement standard operating procedures, and safety documents. They will document and present experimental results to internal and external audience. This person in this position will normally perform research activities of an independent nature in a technical/scientifically specific realm. The nature of the duties are such that they require knowledge of an advance type in the field of science or learning, are predominately intellectual and varied in character, and require consistent exercise of discretion and judgment.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Two years of related professional experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry
Two years of relevant laboratory experience (may be part of graduate education) with hydrocarbon processing and crude oil characterization
