Job Summary

The Engineering Academic and Student Affairs Office in the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for non-tenure track faculty positions at the professor of instruction and professor of practice levels with experience in engineering education. The successful applicants will be affiliated with the Institute for Engineering Education and Innovation (IEEI), lead and engage in engineering research or engineering education research, support the development of academic programs and/or teach, advise and mentor students, and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Applicants with experience in executive management and financial oversight will also be considered for position as IEEI associate director, reporting to the IEEI director. Candidates must be willing to pursue multidisciplinary ventures and interact with faculty and students beyond the boundaries of a single program, department or campus in an inclusive university environment. Experience teaching content to professionals and/or pre-professionals is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and significant experience in engineering for a period of multiple years for professor of practice level titles. Candidates for other non-tenure track titles must have an advanced degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline. All candidates must bring strong experiential credentials consistent with the expectations for the appropriate faculty ranks.
