The Learning Designer will be part of a team designing, developing, and delivering technology-enhanced learning content and materials and blended and online courses. The Learning Designer will work across both credit-bearing and continuing education courses and programs to spearhead the development of learning maps to support development of student centered courses for the curriculum. She will be responsible for managing large projects with multiple stakeholders, as well as attending to the pedagogical and design details that ensure high quality courses. The Learning Designer will: Work with stakeholders across departments to understand audience, business, and learning needs for courses and programs; Collaborate, consult and assist with the training of faculty on the effective use of Learning design strategies, web-based resources, multimedia technologies, and instructional software and systems to improve education; Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies, instructional design theories, and approaches and policies for potential application to instructional opportunities; Provide recommendations on the strategic, tactical and operational issues associated with the development of new instructional technology to support the online and blended courses.

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in classroom and online course technology.
Master’s degree and higher
Experience designing learning pathways across a set of courses to ensure learning outcomes, experience with work in STEM disciplines, preferably engineering.
