Job Description

Provides direct administrative and program management support to the Director of the Institute for Engineering Education and Innovation (IEEI), Dr. Bonnie J. Dunbar, and leads/coordinates key program initiatives. Reports directly to the Director of IEEI, a TEES state-wide institute. Other duties include supporting Dr. Dunbar’s Aerospace Research Group: the Aerospace Human Systems Laboratory (AHSL), assisting with the monitoring and tracking of IEEI and AHSL research accounts, assisting with faculty and staff recruitment for IEEI, coordinating the IEEI Seminar Series, coordinating Dr. Dunbar’s speaking engagements, and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Microsoft Outlook Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel), and Adobe Suite, including Acrobat and Pagemaker. Must be able to create Power Point Presentations, PDF Newsletters, Business Correspondence (invitations, acknowledgement letters, letters of recommendations, etc), technical publications, proposals and formal reports.
Must be comfortable with social media platforms.
Able to represent IEEI and AHSL (including presentations) to the external community, including donors, scholars, legislators, foundations and corporations.
High level verbal and written communication skills.
Requires strong computer and internet research skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, external collaborators, and vendors.
Sensitivity to confidential matters may be required.
Exhibits good time management and task delegation as required.
Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure and at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters.
