Job Description

The Facilities Specialist I, under direct supervision, assists in the management of facilities and related services and programs. The position specializes in various aspects within the full spectrum from preventative maintenance to construction as well as services related to facility use (ie: audio/visual systems, building proctor, and after-hours emergency response. The position supports all aspects of a full-service facility management program to ensure a safe, healthy and comfortable work environment for employees and visitors.

Required Education

Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.

Required Experience

Two years of related experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or facilities construction.

Preferred Education

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications, audio/visual systems. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Must be able to promptly respond in person, on site, to after-hours building emergencies.
Must be able to safely lift and maneuver items up to 100 pounds. Must be able to promptly respond in person, on site, to after-hours building emergencies.
